SOUS
SOUS is building the growth and commerce operating system for independent food & hospitality brands. Through our AI‑driven, B2B SaaS model, we help restaurants, chefs, and F&B entrepreneurs get discovered, sell directly, and retain customers, combining visibility, commerce, and CRM in one platform.
After strong traction in our home market, we’ve already secured our first customers in Germany and are now entering the next phase: scaling across the country.
We’re hiring a Market Expansion Lead – Germany to help scale SOUS from early traction to a repeatable, country‑wide growth engine. This is not a country manager role and not a pure sales role. You’ll operate like a startup within a startup: building on existing momentum, owning execution on the ground, and working closely with the founders and central team.
You won’t be starting from scratch, but you’ll be responsible for turning early success into scale.
Revenue & Market Traction (Primary)
Own new merchant acquisition in Germany (restaurants, chefs, and F&B brands)
Build on existing traction to scale merchant adoption nationally
Run full‑cycle sales: outreach → close → onboarding
Build and close early pipeline, generating ARR
Identify the fastest‑converting ICPs and GTM motions
Create local proof points and case studies to accelerate growth
Market Launch & Local Execution
Help make SOUS fully “Germany‑ready” at scale
Act as local point of contact for early partners and strategic merchants
Represent SOUS at relevant local events and hospitality communities
Operate like a startup within a startup – moving fast, testing assumptions, and executing hands‑on
Ops, Playbooks & Feedback Loop (Light but Critical)
Spot friction in onboarding, payments, and merchant experience
Create and refine the German go‑to‑market playbook for sales + partnerships
Act as the voice of the German market internally, ensuring local needs are reflected in product, pricing, and processes
Help define when Germany is ready for scale and additional structure
Requirements
3–6 years experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles
Experience in a startup or fast‑growing scale‑up
Local network in the restaurant industry is a plus
Fluent in German and strong in English
Comfortable selling before everything is perfect
Open for travelling within DE, and occasionally to Amsterdam
Curious about ops, legal, and “how things actually work”
High energy, low ego, strong ownership mindset
Willing to roll up your sleeves and do what’s needed to make the market work
Benefits
Competitive base salary aligned with experience and market
Strong, uncapped commission structure tied directly to impact
Equity upside for strong performers as the market scales
Remote‑first setup with flexibility and regular in‑person time
Direct exposure to founders and real influence on company direction
High ownership role with clear growth trajectory
The opportunity to scale a live market, not start from zero
A fast‑moving, ambitious team building a category‑defining product in food & hospitality
Germany is already live at SOUS.
We have our first customers on the platform – now it’s time to scale nationally.
If you’re excited by the idea of owning a market, building on early traction, and turning momentum into a repeatable growth engine, we’d love to hear from you!
