Responsibilities
Lead planning efforts and serve as a project manager for infrastructure projects in the transportation and water general practices for a variety of clients including local, state, federal governments and agencies, utilities and planning organizations.
Review client and customer existing infrastructure policies and plans; provide strategic consulting services to update or create new policies or plans.
Develop strategy and enhance collaboration to continue to build infrastructure planning in the transportation and water practices in Texas and nationally.
Build and manage effective relationships with existing clients, customers and contractors; be responsible for client and customer satisfaction goals and expectations being met.
Develop new business opportunities for water and transportation planning, design and construction projects.
Quality review written reports, deliverables, and proposals for transportation and water projects.
Responsible for ensuring revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance; present project budgets and cost estimates.
Provide project management, leadership, mentorship, and instruction to project teams and department staff.
Prepare and present for clients and industry events and publications to continue to build personal and company brand in the state and nationally.
Manage sales and marketing efforts; identify and manage key pursuits.
Responsible for QA/QC process adherence and process improvement.
Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management or related field from an accredited program and 7+ years applicable experience (Required).
Prior experience on construction project sites or executing program management in industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transmission & distribution, or water (Preferred).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, demanding work environment; willing to work overtime on short notice.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multisdisciplinary project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software.
