The
Director of Nursing
is responsible for the overall management of personal care services and medication administration within the community. This includes staff training and supervision, regulatory compliance, infection control, and quality assurance. The DON collaborates with residents, families, and healthcare providers to ensure individualized care plans that promote safety, dignity, and wellness. The ideal candidate is an experienced
Registered Nurse (RN)
with strong leadership skills, regulatory knowledge, and a passion for enhancing senior care services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Clinical Leadership:
Direct and oversee all aspects of resident care, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations. Staff Training & Supervision:
Recruit, train, and evaluate care staff to maintain high-quality services and regulatory compliance. Regulatory Compliance:
Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, including infection control practices and medication management. Resident Assessments:
Conduct and oversee initial and ongoing resident assessments and individualized care plan development. Quality Assurance:
Monitor resident care to ensure dignity, privacy, and high-quality outcomes; participate in audits and state surveys. Medication Oversight:
Ensure proper medication administration, staff competency, and compliance with medication storage and documentation requirements. Family & Resident Communication:
Serve as a liaison between residents, families, physicians, and healthcare providers to address care concerns. Emergency Response:
Lead the community’s accident, disaster, and emergency response procedures. Qualifications:
Active RN license
in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (required) 1+ years of management experience
in long-term care, assisted living, or senior care (required) Experience in dementia and cognitive care
