The HR Generalist provides hands‑on support across the employee lifecycle and serves as a key point of contact for employees and managers on day‑to‑day HR needs. This is a true generalist role with responsibility for supporting payroll processing, HRIS administration, benefits administration, compliance, and talent operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES HR Support

Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employees and managers

Partner with HR leadership on engagement and workforce planning

Payroll Administration (Support)

Assist with accurate and timely bi‑weekly payroll processing

Review timecards, PTO entries, and payroll data

Ensure compliance with California wage and hour requirements

Partner with Finance and payroll vendors

Respond to payroll inquiries

HRIS Administration

Support HRIS administration and data entry

Maintain data integrity and employee records

Assist with reporting and auditsSupport system upgrades and improvements

Assist with HRIS training

Benefits, Leave & Compliance Support

Support benefits administration

Assist with open enrollment

Track leaves of absence

Maintain compliant employee files

Talent Operations

Support recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding

Support employment law compliance

QUALIFICATIONS Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

3–5 years HR Generalist experience

Knowledge of CA employment lawPayroll and HRIS support experience

Preferred

Healthcare or behavioral health experience

Knowledge of HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
