Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position with night shift hours and Epic EMR experience required.
Responsibilities
Work in an ICU within a medical telemetry unit in a hospital setting
Patient population includes pediatric through geriatric critical care patients
Scheduled 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. with every third weekend required
Floating as needed, including possible float to a nearby sister hospital
One summer holiday shift required
Uses Epic for charting and documentation
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and deliver care across the continuum from pre- to post-operative phases
Demonstrate competent clinical and emergency skills in the ICU environment
Maintain thorough and accurate patient documentation and follow all documentation guidelines
Promote a team-oriented approach and positive patient and family experience
Observe National Patient Safety Goals and proper patient identification protocols
Scrub colors or dress code to be confirmed during onboarding
Assignment limited to one calendar year; a break of 30-60 days required before returning for a new contract
Requirements
Active NJ or compact RN license required
Minimum one year of recent ICU experience required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience with Epic charting system required
Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
