Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a current CA license, ACLS/BLS certifications, and Epic experience for a day shift assignment.
Responsibilities
Work in the ICU of a hospital setting
Adult critical care patient population
Three 12-hour day shifts per week (6:45-19:15)
Every other weekend work required
Holiday coverage required as needed
Uses Epic EMR system
Accountable for assessment, coordination, direct patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions in an acute ICU setting
Expected to foster collaborative relationships among patients, families, and medical staff
Modules and e-learning are required and completed during orientation
Only one holiday time off request will be approved
Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of signing the acceptance agreement
All certifications must be in hand at the time of consideration
Locals accepted at a different pay rate
Requirements
Active CA RN license required
BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience required
Epic charting experience preferred
PALS and TNCC certifications to be obtained within 180 days of hire
NIHSS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire
Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
Must provide two recent supervisory references
Return staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
