FSU Panama City – College of Social Work Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work Florida State University Panama City offers nationally accredited Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Social Work (BSW, MSW). The programs provide students with undergraduate and graduate coursework, internship, and field experiences to support their entry into social work careers or advancement in clinical social work settings. FSU Social Work courses emphasize strategies for providing therapeutic services, advocating for clients, evaluating social work interventions, and engaging in clinical services across a variety of populations (e.g., schools, criminal justice, child welfare). FSU is one of the nation’s top 25 public universities, and FSU Panama City includes a small faculty‑to‑student ratio, a new residential housing complex, and campus resources such as https://pc.fsu.edu and https://seminolelandingfsu.com.
Responsibilities
Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in Social Work programs based on applied experience and qualifications.
Be an essential team member to the Social Work program and supporter of student success.
Provide academic and student support to the program assisting with fieldwork supervision, placements, student recruitment and student services.
Participate in other quality‑related faculty service to the Program, College, and Campus.
This position has opportunities for engagement in research, though it is not a required component of this teaching faculty position.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or PhD in Social Work or a related field. ABD will be considered.
Experience teaching at the university level, applied experience specific to Social Work, and a strong commitment to student success.
Preferred Qualifications
A passion for the field of Social Work and training students.
A Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
A breadth of teaching and social work experiences.
Ability to teach an array of core and elective course topics.
