Behavioral Health Technician (Full Time) Pyramid Healthcare is dedicated to offering the highest quality of care to those we serve. This role is located at Pyramid Healthcare's Traditions House, a men's halfway house in Altoona, PA. Shift: 2nd (3:00 pm - 11:00 pm).

Summary: An essential role delivering residential and outpatient treatment services. Direct care position with primary responsibility of interacting with and supervising clients in treatment, assisting the clinical and administrative teams to identify and serve client needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Complete intake process with new clients into program.

Maintain client documentation.

Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable.

Coordinate client activities.

Follow objectives of treatment plans and client-specific needs.

Evaluate behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide response including crisis intervention.

Maintain safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.

Assist with dietary needs of clients.

Complete all required trainings.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience.

Current CPR, AED and First Aid (preferred).

Job Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information.

Ability to handle a crisis and potential risk situation and react appropriately.

A working knowledge of federal and state standards and compliance standards.

Uphold staff code of ethics and therapeutic boundaries.

Physical Demands Requires frequent talking or hearing. Regular standing, walking, climbing stairs, using hands to finger, handling, or feeling, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasionally sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment Noisy moderate quiet indoors. Local travel required. Own transportation. Exposure to virus, disease, infection from clients. Exposure to traumatic situations.
