Our Behavioral Health Technician serves in a direct care role with the primary responsibility of interacting with and supervising clients in treatment. Located in Harford County, Maryland, our Joppa Inpatient program provides treatment paths for both men and women for substance use disorders, methamphetamine and other stimulant use, co-occurring disorders, and has a methadone maintenance program for opioid addiction. Under a passionate leadership team, Pyramid Healthcare in Harford offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare for psychiatry, addiction recovery, mental disorder treatment, etc., defined by supportive environments that provide patients with the strength they need to overcome life’s challenges and allow clients at all stages of recovery or rehabilitation to reclaim health and well-being.

Pay Pay: $15/hour before shift differentials

Shift Options 1st Shift 7:00am - 3:00pm, 2nd Shift 3:00pm - 11:00pm, 3rd Shift 11:00pm - 7:00am, at least 1 weekend day usually included in schedule.

Shift Differentials

1st Shift (Saturday and Sunday) $1.00

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday $1.00, (Saturday and Sunday) $1.50

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday $1.50, (Saturday and Sunday) $1.50

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Complete the intake process with new clients into the program

Maintain client documentation

Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable

Coordinate client activities

Follow the objectives of treatment plans and client-specific needs

Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and provide responses, including crisis intervention

Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment

Assist with the dietary needs of clients

Complete all required training

Other duties as assigned

License, Education, & Experience

High School diploma or equivalent

Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience

Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification preferred
