Behavioral Health Technicians
for multiple shifts to join our exceptional team, dedicated to working with adults in our facility and sober living environments.
Compensation : $17 per hour, with a shift differential of up to $1.50 based on the shift worked.
Shifts : Afternoons, Nights and Weekends
Summary This role is essential in delivering residential and outpatient treatment services. As a direct care position, the primary responsibility involves interacting with and supervising clients in treatment, as well as providing transportation services for Pyramid Healthcare clients. The Behavioral Health Tech will assist clinical and administrative teams in identifying and addressing client needs.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Complete the intake process for new clients entering the program.
Maintain accurate client documentation.
Observe and document client self‑administration of medication as applicable.
Coordinate client activities.
Follow the objectives of treatment plans and address client‑specific needs.
Provide transportation for clients.
Evaluate the behavioral and emotional needs of clients and respond appropriately, including crisis intervention.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly physical environment.
Assist with the dietary needs of clients.
Transport clients to and from specified locations within expected time frames.
Supervise and support clients during transportation.
Maintain all necessary documentation related to services provided.
Complete all required training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities None
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience.
Valid driver’s license in the state of hire with a safe driving record.
Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to problem‑solve by gathering and analyzing information.
Ability to handle crises and potential risk situations appropriately.
A working knowledge of federal and state standards, as well as regulatory body compliance standards.
Commitment to upholding staff code of ethics and maintaining therapeutic boundaries.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds, with rare instances of carrying up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is typically moderately quiet and indoors. This position will require local travel and will be scheduled based on operational needs. The incumbent will be required to provide their own transportation. Exposure to viruses, diseases, and/or infections from clients in the work environment is possible, as well as exposure to traumatic situations (e.g., psychiatric emergencies).
