Nurse Tech Emergency Department – Corewell Health
Full time position (shift: 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; 36 hours per week; every other weekend).
About this Unit Butterworth Emergency Department is a fast‑paced Level 1 Trauma Center with 100 patient care spaces. The unit treats patients with minor illnesses, injuries, and serious chronic and acute health concerns. We handle ~109,000 patient visits annually, outperforming state and national metrics and ranking in the top 10% for patient throughput.

Scope of Work
Act as a team member in providing quality patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or provider.
Perform basic skills per department guidelines and communicate observations to the healthcare team.
Collect and report physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with the RN or provider.
Responsible for taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization, and acting as a safety attendant.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire (required).
One year of emergency, EMT, or patient care experience (preferred).
