The ABA Clinician position provides the opportunity to work as an
In Home Behavior Therapist
and
Behavior Technician
to achieve the perfect balance of unrestricted and restricted fieldwork hours, while making sure you have hands on experience with all the skills you’ll need to practice as a BCBA!
In Home Behavior Therapist (IHBS) : You will provide structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic interventions in a client’s home for the purpose of treating a youth’s behavioral needs. IHBS Therapists support caregivers to better understand their children's needs by exploring patterns of behavior and improving communication.
Behavior Technician : You will be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of your supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.
Qualifications
Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, special education or related CBHI approved degree program
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children, youth and families in a home or community setting highly desirable
Experience working with children diagnosed with behavioral-emotional disorders preferred
Experience working with children on the autism spectrum desirable
Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred
Effective written and verbal communication skills

Northeast Family Services offers high-quality supervision of fieldwork experience for candidates seeking the BCBA or BCaBA credentials. A two-year contract is offered following successful completion of fieldwork experience.
Northeast Family Services encourages interested staff to obtain the Registered Behavior Technician credential by offering RBT 40 hour training, initial competency assessment, ongoing skills-based supervision, and a $100 bonus upon obtaining RBT credential.
