Summary of Job Duties If you are an RN who has current Operating Room experience, we invite you to consider a career with The Orthopaedic & Spine Hospital at UAMS Health. As part of the TOSH teams, operating room nurses provide direct patient care, coordinate care for patients, triage, and collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, and staff. Nurses develop and implement individualized health plans and provide patient education on complex conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Associate's Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's).
Valid Registered Nursing License.
Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nursing experience.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong work ethics and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
Current BLS certification.
ACLS certification.
Scrubbing experience.
Orthopedic experience a plus.
Additional Information Employees must be fitted for, capable of donning, and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment including N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR), or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
Responsibilities
Deliver nursing care for patients within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adhere to UAMS policies and standards.
Collect and document assessment data.
Develop a Plan of Care (POC) per standard.
Implement POC including medical orders and interdisciplinary approaches.
Evaluate progress toward desired outcomes.
Provide patient/family education and discharge planning.
Administer medication per standard and provide drug information to patients/families.
Act as a resource and support others.
Deliver patient care following the defined nursing modality.
Delegate care based on UAMS standards, legal requirements, and individual training levels.
Contribute to a positive work environment supportive of clinical education.
Perform any other duties assigned.
Salary Information Commensurate with education and experience.
