Salary:
Monthly $3,724.00 - $4,656.00; Annual $44,688.00 - $55,872.00.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
Experience:
One year of full-time professional work providing child welfare services (e.g., case management, counseling, juvenile classification).
Special Requirements:
At least 21 years of age.
Citizen of the United States.
Valid driver’s license.
Good moral character.
Pre-employment criminal history disclosure and background check (no felony convictions).
Pre-employment drug screening.
Fingerprint sample for criminal history records check.
Responsibilities
Determine abuse/neglect status, safety planning, permanency recommendations, monitor adoptive/foster families, recruit foster parents.
Conduct home visits, coordinate visitation, maintain case file documentation.
Interviews with alleged child victims, reporting individuals, families, and collateral contacts; gather records; administer drug screens; perform assessments.
Work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, after hours; schedule appointments; transport children safely; assist children awaiting placement.
Communicate effectively to build trust with children/families; explain rights; respond timely to stakeholders.
Convene and lead Child and Family Team Meetings; develop action steps and goals.
Make referrals to service providers; collaborate with law enforcement and multidisciplinary teams; train foster/adoptive parents and community.
