Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist – OrthoGeorgia in Kathleen Innovative Therapy Concepts, a PT‑owned management organization partnered with OrthoGeorgia, is seeking an Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our practice in Kathleen, Georgia. Qualifications

Physical Therapist with a strong drive to learn and grow; enhance clinical skills within an experienced team

Candidate emphasizes patient care, quality, outcomes, and efficiency

Graduate of a CAPTE‑accredited physical therapy program

Responsible individual with a solid work ethic

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

New graduates welcome – our clinical education and mentorship support successful transition from PT school to clinic

Active and current state Physical Therapist license and passed National Physical Therapy Exam

Willingness to work occasional weekend shifts at designated sites

Compassionate, desire to help patients, and strong interpersonal/communication skills

Responsibilities

Review physician referrals, patient conditions, and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required.

Test and measure patient strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, respiratory and circulatory efficiency; record findings to develop or revise treatment programs.

Plan and prepare written treatment program based on evaluation of patient data.

Administer manual and therapeutic exercises to improve and maintain function, strength, ROM, flexibility, and cardiovascular function.

Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in performing various physical activities to achieve functional goals.

Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in use of assistive and supportive devices (wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, canes, prostheses).

Administer treatments involving physical agents and modalities (hot/cold packs, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, iontophoresis, TENS, dry needling).

Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.

Administer massage, traction, and other hands‑on modalities.

Record treatment responses and progress in patient chart or electronic system.

Instruct patients and families on at‑home treatment procedures.

Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices; recommend modifications to orthotist.

Collaborate with physicians and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions, and integrate physical therapy with overall patient care.

Orient, instruct, and direct work activities of assistants, techs, and students.

Plan and conduct lectures and training programs on physical therapy and related topics for medical staff, students, and community groups.

Plan and develop physical therapy research programs; participate in conducting research.

Consult and practice with other health professionals (physicians, dentists, nurses, educators, social workers, occupational therapists, speech‑language pathologists, audiologists).

Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants or Techs as needed.

Additional Information Physical demands include standing, walking, and handling; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance. Work environment involves moderate noise, occasional vibration, and exposure to mechanical parts.

Preferred educational background: Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (M.A. or Ph.D.) is preferred but not mandatory.
