Physician or Physician Scientist – Cardiovascular Medicine, Associate Director for Advanced Arrhythmia Research (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
Position Overview The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Wexner Medical Center seek an academic electrophysiologist to join the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Advanced Arrhythmia Program as Associate Director for Arrhythmia Research. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. The successful candidate will focus on routine and complex atrial arrhythmia, atrial fibrillation, and ventricular arrhythmia, including inpatient and outpatient consultative and primary services in a world‑class facility at the Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital.
Responsibilities
Provide expert clinical care for patients with complex arrhythmias in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Develop and conduct extramural‑funded clinical or translational research programs in advanced arrhythmia.
Collaborate with interventional cardiology, heart failure, and cardiac transplant teams for comprehensive patient management.
Participate in training of fellows, residents, and medical students through didactic and hands‑on educational activities.
Engage in institutional and national scientific committees and professional societies.
Qualifications
Board‑eligible or Board‑certified in Cardiovascular Medicine.
Successful completion of a U.S.‑accredited cardiology fellowship.
Eligible for an Ohio Medical License.
Extramural‑funded clinical or translational research experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop and lead academic research programs.
Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Location Columbus, Ohio – Twelfth Ave, 395 W (0356). Position Type: Regular. Shift: First Shift.
