Essential Functions

Develop comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment and clinical impressions responsive to age‑appropriate patients/family needs. Make differential diagnosis of mental and emotional disorders using DSM‑5. Diagnose biopsychosocial functioning, disability and impairment for the age‑appropriate patient/family. Develop treatment intervention plans with clinical impressions. The plan is diagnostically driven and outcomes focused. Develop an effective working relationship with patient/family to engage, collaborate, advocate and problem‑solve to support and enhance mental health strengths and functioning ability. Utilize differential diagnostic skills and employ various clinical treatment interventions, including but not limited to crisis intervention, solution‑focused therapy, individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy, grief and bereavement counseling, play therapy, sand‑tray therapy, EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy and mental status exams. Initiate Baker Act and facilitate Marchman Act when appropriate. Facilitate patient’s psychosocial adjustment along the continuum of care and transition to the next level of care. Provide mental health education, information, consultation and professional support regarding patient/family needs to the healthcare team members and colleagues within the department. Demonstrate initiative and leadership in developing mental health services responding to patient care demands. Identify practice based on continuous quality improvement. Maintain accurate and appropriate record of mental health activities in patients’ medical chart, ensuring confidentiality. Meet department/hospital growth goals set forth by coaching plans. Perform independently and provide clinical practice in a health care setting. Supervise and participate in teaching within the department, hospital and community. Hold subspecialty credentialing (e.g., sexual abuse, EMDR, CAP, CBT) when appropriate. Handle care coordination responsibilities and related functions for patient population. Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with policies and applicable laws (ADA, FMLA, state, local). Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications

Education/Training

Master’s degree from an accredited School of Social Work. Licensure/Certification

Maintain Florida state (Chapter 491 Florida Statutes) licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Experience

Two (2) years of direct clinical experience, preferably in a health or mental health setting with an emphasis on the population served in the assigned area. Job Details
