Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a TN or compact RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
Patient population includes laboring mothers and newborns
Special procedures include triage assessments, inductions, cesarean deliveries, external versions, NSTs, circumcisions, newborn resuscitation and stabilization, and magnesium sulfate administration
Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 18:45 to 7:15
Weekend coverage and call are required
Floating to other units as needed based on skill set
EPIC EMR is used, and one year of EPIC experience is required
Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care to laboring mothers and newborns, performing specialized procedures, and responding to emergencies
Team environment with support from other nurses and care providers
Holiday coverage may be required as determined by the unit schedule
Two professional references are required for consideration
Dress code and scrub color details may be provided during onboarding
Requirements
Active TN or compact RN license
Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications
At least two years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
No first‑time travelers accepted
One year of recent EPIC EMR experience required
Candidates must live more than 100 miles from any Prisma facility to be eligible
Night shift travelers must live at least 50 miles from the facility
