Shift 7:00 pm – 7:30 am (Step‑down shift)
Sign‑on Bonus
RNs with 1 year prior experience in specialty: up to $15,000
New‑grad RNs: up to $10,000
Job Summary The Progressive Care (Step down) RN provides exceptional nursing care, acting as the liaison between Med‑Surg and ICU units, assessing patient status, prioritizing needs, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyze data, create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness
Serve as point of contact for patients’ care coordination across hospital departments
Act as a patient‑safety advocate through ongoing quality improvement activities
Administer medications safely in accordance with state practice and organizational policies
Perform other duties as assigned
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
Certifications
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
BLS Basic Life Support
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (required within 6 months of hire)
Experience
Minimum 1 year RN experience (required)
Preferred 6 months RN experience in an acute‑care hospital setting
