Job Summary Psychologist with generalist clinical skills. Adheres to practitioner-scholar model with multicultural competency. Other duties as assigned.
Job Duties
60% – Direct Services: Clinical. Provides clinical services to clients in individual, couples, group/workshop, and online formats. Conducts mental health assessments and makes recommendations for treatment modality. Generates/implements treatment plans from evidenced-based approaches. Conducts psychological evaluations including administration/interpretation of assessment instruments as indicated by the presenting problem. Cases will reflect complex psychopathology.
15% – Administrative Duties: Documentation and Case Conference meetings. Completes all clinical documentation in the electronic health record in compliance with the documentation time lines. Completes all necessary documentation to assist clients and as required by CAPS. Attends all co.
15% – Direct Services: Crisis intervention, consultation/outreach and supervision. Provides crisis intervention and emergency services on-site and through on-call system. Periodic on-call and after-hour duties. Engages in consultation relative to internal and external psychological needs. Conducts outreach to disseminate information about wellness, psychological issues and their treatment. Supports professional developmental needs for all trainees.
5% – Administrative Duties: Research and Training. Conducts in-service training for CAPS staff and trainees in identified areas of expertise relevant to counseling center populations. Completes all Redfern Health Center Mandatory training. Supports data collection efforts for all program evaluation efforts.
5% – Professional Development. Participates in all CAPS and Student Health Services (SHS) staff meetings. Participates in internal CAPS and Student Health Services (SHS) committees as well as committees within Student Affairs and the University. Maintains LPC license. Participates in professional conferences and conventions at the local, regional and national levels. At all times, adheres to American Psychological Association's (APA) Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Ethics as well as American Counseling Association's Code of Ethics. Adheres to Joint Commission accreditation standards and supports maintenance of APA accreditation.
Minimum Requirements
Education – Doctoral / Professional Degree in applied psychology from an accredited college or university and experience in the practice of applied psychology.
Licenses – Psychologist.
Work Experience – 1+ years; experience with working with university student population preferred.
Responsibilities
JOB KNOWLEDGE – Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations.
Supervisory Responsibilities – No Supervisory Duties – Not responsible for supervising employees.
Budgetary Responsibilities – No Budget Responsibilities – No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
Physical Requirements
90% – Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period.
90% – Walk or move about.
90% – Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself.
90% – Recognize or inspect visually.
90% – Perceive, observe, clarity of vision.
Working Conditions

Work Schedule Standard Hrs: 37.5.
Compensation Information Expected Salary ($69,765.00 - $85,418.00). Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
Essential Personnel Level Essential Level 1 employee. Required to respond during an emergency closure or modified operations in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
