Position Overview: As a
Pre Hung Door Estimator
at Our Client, you'll serve as our technical expert, transforming architectural specifications into precise, competitive bids for pre hung door installations. You'll analyze project requirements, review construction documents, and collaborate with contractors to deliver superior door solutions that meet both budget and timeline requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with contractors and general contractors throughout the bidding process to secure pre hung door projects
Perform detailed takeoffs and cost analysis for pre hung door packages, including frames, hardware, and installation requirements
Review architectural drawings, door schedules, and project specifications to ensure accurate material selection
Calculate labor costs for pre hung door installation, including coordination with field teams
Prepare comprehensive bid proposals using industry software and Our Client's proprietary systems
Ensure compliance with Massachusetts building codes, ADA requirements, and fire/life safety regulations
Maintain accuracy from initial bid through project completion and delivery
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with doors, frames, or building materials
Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to interpret architectural drawings and door schedules
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with estimating software
Knowledge of commercial building codes, UL listings, ADA compliance, and fire safety requirements
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
Detail‑oriented approach with commitment to accuracy and process improvement
Work Environment: This is primarily an office-based position in our Woburn facility, utilizing modern estimating tools and technology. Occasional site visits may be required to assess project conditions and coordinate with installation teams.
