Position Overview Clinical Technician – Omega Transitional Care, Temporary position in Raleigh, NC. The role supports veterinary staff in primary and rehabilitative care and provides client education and in‑home consultations.

Essential Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians with examinations, assessments, treatments, animal handling, restraint, and medication administration.

Provide in‑hospital and in‑home consultations, quality‑of‑life assessments, and progress reports.

Support pain management, nutrition, mobility, rehabilitation, end‑of‑life processes, and grief counseling.

Collaborate with Small Animal Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine service and all ancillary hospital services.

Participate in client education and communicate empathy for patients and clients.

Required Experience & Skills

Graduation from an AVMA‑accredited two‑year veterinary technician program.

State registration/license; preferred North Carolina RVT.

Previous clinical veterinary technician experience (2+ years) with sample collection, medication and sedation administration, drug calculations, low‑stress animal handling, basic rehabilitation skills.

Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Excellent customer service and professionalism in emotionally charged situations.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work beyond scheduled hours when needed.

Strong teamwork, problem‑solving, independent judgment, and effective communication.

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of veterinary technician experience in primary care.

Experience with end‑of‑life care and euthanasia process.

State RVT license in North Carolina.
