Location US:WI:OAK CREEK at our DREXEL SURGERY CENTER facility.
Job Details Onsite. Full-time (FTE 1.0). Standard Hours: 40. Shift 1. Holidays: Weekends.
Job Summary Provides direct and indirect nursing care by utilizing the nursing process, determining the objectives of nursing care within the framework of the physician's plan of medical care, the patient's needs, standards of nursing practice, legal regulations and ambulatory surgery center policies and procedures. He/she will perform other related duties as needed to maintain department cost containment, efficiency, as well as quality of performance.
Experience A minimum of 1 year in Med/Surg, ambulatory surgery, PACU, or OR nursing is preferred. Ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience in OR, GI and/or pain procedures.
Education Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Licensure Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) required within 30 days of hire. AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
