About the Center The Immunology Center of Georgia (IMMCG) is a new initiative of the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University dedicated to leveraging the immune system to combat disease. The center focuses on cardiovascular disease, obesity and metabolic disorders, autoimmune and infectious disease, neurodegenerative disease, and cancer.
Job Summary Performs laboratory work related to studies in T cell immunology and cancer immunotherapy (CAR‑T, TCR‑T, or TIL therapy). Maintains mouse colony (including genotyping) and research database, communicates well with laboratory members, and works well as part of a team. Assists with ordering supplies and maintains a safe and organized laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
Design and perform a variety of molecular biological, biochemical, and immunological assays (gene constructs, PCR analysis, western blots, flow cytometry, ELISA, etc.) including culture media preparation, cell line incubation, and animal work.
Supervise junior lab members.
Assist the principal investigator with writing publications and grant applications.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology, or a related life science from an accredited institution and experience in research or clinical laboratory, including clinical trial research.
OR a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of three years of research and/or clinical experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software/databases.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi‑tasking, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, keep accurate records, and make independent decisions.
Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift: Days; Monday – Friday (outside normal business hours may be required). Salary: $45,400 – $56,700 annually (Band B8). Benefits: health, dental, and life insurance; retirement plan; paid vacation and sick leave; 13 paid holidays; tuition assistance (for full‑time employees with 6+ months tenure).

Additional credit checks, vehicle reports, or purchase‑card usage approvals may be required based on duties.
