Business Solutions Manager at Ledgent Finance & Accounting

About the Role We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to help the company grow and maintain accurate financial systems. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to make a lasting impact by refining processes and creating clear documentation. You will work closely with leadership and be an integral part of the team, learning the business and contributing to its success.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accuracy of P&L statements, data entry, and financial reporting
Enter vendor bills, manage invoice folders, and maintain timely payments
Process payroll, including timesheets, PTO, taxes, and 401(k) contributions
Maintain accurate records for 401(k), health insurance, and employee compensation
Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and WIPs
Prepare quarterly payroll reports and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
Oversee certified payroll for specific jobs and manage subcontractor W-9s and 1099s
Maintain organized financial folders and write procedures for consistency
Develop an inclusive bookkeeping manual for the business
Conduct monthly and quarterly financial evaluations, including P&L comparisons
Support HR functions such as maintaining employee files and onboarding documentation
Collaborate with leadership and consultants to refine business practices and identify cost‑saving opportunities
Implement checks and balances to prevent errors and ensure accuracy
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree (any field); preferred Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Strong organizational and analytical abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to adapt to change and work in a dynamic setting
Commitment to ethical conduct and company values
Accuracy, attention to detail, and aptitude for numbers
