Responsibilities
Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans.
Operate forklifts following company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.
Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carry out tasks; communicate progress; recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; adapt to change and feedback.
Receive, stock, and organize merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers throughout the facility; manage inventory flow; follow company policy and procedures for equipment; merchandise; handle inventory exceptions; correct shelf capacities; complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
Provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying member needs; provide guidance and support regarding self‑service technology; assist members with purchasing decisions; locate merchandise; resolve member issues and concerns; promote the company’s products and services.
Maintain facility safety according to company policies by conducting safety sweeps; following forklift spotting procedures; handling hazardous material disposal; following company steel standard guidelines; reporting unsafe situations.
Maintain the sales floor and merchandising presentation; zone the area; stock and rotate merchandise; remove damaged or out‑of‑date goods; set up, clean, and organize product displays; ensure promotional and seasonal merchandise is prominently displayed; process defective merchandise; follow sanitation and food safety policies; monitor shrink, security risks, and safety.
Ensure club pick‑up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging; ensure products are selected and staged per policy; ensure merchandising associates pick orders within acceptable timeframes; perform occasional audits for accuracy.
Handle, move, and display goods safely; track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, control shrinkage; report poor inventory practices and low in‑stock levels; use inventory tools and equipment safely.
Operate and maintain forklifts safely; report poor or unsafe conditions; inform management when forklifts are not working properly.
Identify customers who need help; engage them; assist technology services and items; model and help others; identify shrink opportunities; maintain equipment; ensure products are organized and stocked correctly; fix problems promptly.
Minimum Qualifications
90 days of prior experience with Forklift Certification; ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
Customer Service Experience.
Retail Experience.
Experience supervising a team.
