Job Description And Duties The Division of Engineering Services (DES), Program/Project Management and Office Engineer (PPM&OE), is recruiting to fill a Senior Bridge Engineer (Sr BE) (Specialist) position located in Sacramento. Under direction from the Chief, Office of Project Delivery & Structures Contract Management, the Contract Manager, a Sr BE (Specialist) is the authorized representative of the State of California responsible for procuring, administering structure contracts, and monitoring the consultant’s performance to ensure compliance with all contract provisions and to ensure the efficient use of state funds to produce the maximum value for our tax dollars. Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Senior Bridge Engineer exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Special Requirements

This position requires a valid Professional …License issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers for appointment.

Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle.

Statement of Qualification (SOQ) is required.
