Maintenance Technician - Legacy Pointe Join our team at Elmington Property Management in Knoxville, TN. We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our Legacy Pointe property.

Essential Job Functions

Provides exemplary customer service to all residents, proactively solving issues and creating a warm environment.

Maintains the physical condition of the property using hand and power tools.

Picks up debris and removes other objects from the property.

Responds to issues outside of normal work schedule when required.

Professional and timely responses to all work orders.

Follows all company policies and procedures.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

Respond to service requests and complete repairs promptly using plumbing, carpentry, and appliance repair skills.

Maintain cleanliness of property, including parking lot, buildings, and common areas.

Clean out vacated apartments, assist the groundskeeper, and address landscaping and snow/ice removal requests.

Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers, even in difficult situations.

Operate computers and other technological devices to access email and company software.

Meet task deadlines as assigned.

Qualifications / Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines.

Passion for chasing excellence and providing exemplary customer service.

Experience in plumbing, general carpentry, appliance repairs, and related maintenance tasks.

Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Specific Education & Experience

Required: Hold at least one relevant certification. If not currently certified, must obtain it within 60 days of employment.

EPA Section 608 Certification (HVAC) – required for refrigerant handling.

HVAC Certification – such as HVAC Excellence or equivalent.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification – preferred for safety knowledge.

CPO (Certified Pool Operator) – beneficial for pool and spa maintenance.

Plumbing or Electrical Licenses – state‑dependent, advantageous for broader maintenance capabilities.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Frequently sit, stand, and walk.

Regularly required to talk or hear.

Frequently require use of hands or fingers to handle objects or tools.

Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Visibility requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.

Moderate to high noise level.

Work outdoors in varying weather; require ability to tolerate seasonal extremes.

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 10% of the time.
