Milacron is looking for a
Lead CNC Operator
to join our team in
Mount Orab, OH ! The Lead CNC Operator is responsible for organizing production according to demand and parts availability. Under the direction of the Group Leader, this role ensures the products are produced on time for shipment in an efficient manner. The lead is also responsible for covering the shipping and receiving department to ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are loaded and unloaded.
Work You'll Do
Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
Plan and prioritize to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
Assist in scheduling shift assembly starts according to production needs and material availability
Collaborate with Shipping and Receiving and other staff as needed
Monitor the execution of the production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion
Escalate complex issues to Manager for resolution
Investigate production problems, analyze root causes and provide solutions
Communicate production status across all shifts on a regular basis
Ability to read and understand blueprints to help with shop floor employees
Ability to be certified to operate a fork truck / side loader and crane to ensure all critical materials safety enter or leave the facility
Understand sandblast, blackening and cut off saw processes
Moving product within the shop as needed
Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments / freight are safety loaded and unloaded
Verify correct product using work order tags according to blueprint specifications
Must use job specific hand tools and precision measuring tools specific to job
Work independently, self‑starter, self‑motivated
Work as Team Lead and actively lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Recommend improvements for area product and processes, actively pursuing continuous improvement opportunities
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with relative experience in Manufacturing or combination of both education and experience
Experience with JD Edwards is preferred
Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
Good at math and statistics
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities
Forklift and crane experience
