CNC Milling Machine Operator - 3rd Shift
Milacron is looking for a CNC Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Mount Orab, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for the set‑up and operation of machinery to produce a large assortment of metal parts or finishes, often of a complex nature. You will apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, and machining procedures to produce quality parts for our plastics processing machinery from raw material.
Shift 3rd Shift: 3 p‑11 p with potential for required overtime. Must train for 7 a‑3 p at least 90 days.
Work You’ll Do
Verify correct product using job traveler.
Set‑up and operate a Milling machine to blueprint specifications.
Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production.
Monitor and ensure all fluid levels are maintained on all equipment (coolant, hydraulic fluids, etc.).
Monitor inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to supervisor.
Must use precision measuring tools and job‑specific hand tools.
Read part drawing with sectional views.
Lift, position, and transport work piece with a hoist.
Must accurately record labor hours into the E1 system.
Maintain plant standards in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, 5S, housekeeping, teamwork, and attendance.
Demonstrate personal leadership; actively participate in or lead problem‑solving and continuous improvement efforts.
Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments.
Recommend improvements for area product and processes.
Interact professionally with customers and employees.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
1+ years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Dependable, honest, quick learner with good communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including any days, shift, and weekends to ensure customer demand is met.
Basic computer skills with the ability to perform and interpret computer functions.
Blueprint reading required.
Precision measuring tools required.
