This position may be filled as a Technical Instructor or Senior Technical Instructor based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
Job Summary/Purpose Interface with line personnel to understand and analyze performance needs and recommend appropriate training solutions. Primarily act as the chemistry training program administrator.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, and evaluates training materials and programs using systematic approach to training.
Administers and coordinates training programs for sites and corporate groups as assigned.
Minimum Requirements Education Desired: B.S. Degree in education, engineering or related technical degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience
Technical Instructor: 3 years commercial nuclear plant experience, or an SRO license or certification, or B.S. Degree in Education, Science, or Technology and three years nuclear training experience (commercial or military), or B.S. degree in Education, Science, or Technology and three or more years experience teaching or developing curriculum in an education or academic environment.
Senior Technical Instructor: 8 years chemistry related experience.
Desired: Experience in chemistry and/or radiation protection. Navy Radiation Control (RADCON) and Engineering Lab Technician (ELT) experience is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Technical proficiency in the assigned area.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Licenses and Certificates
Desired: SRO license or certification on BWR, PWR or both.
Location and Travel Primary Location: Louisiana – St. Francisville, Louisiana.
Travel Percentage: Up to 25%.
