The Role
As the Accounting Manager at Terminax, you will serve as the company’s financial backbone. You will own day-to-day accounting operations, design scalable accounting processes, and ensure accuracy across AR/AP, inventory reconciliation, bank accounts, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting Operations
- Handle full-cycle accounting including A/P, A/R, GL entries, deposits, and bank reconciliation
- Process customer payments, vendor invoices, expense reimbursements, and payroll-related entries
- Ensure accurate sales reconciliation from Shopify, QuickBooks, bank accounts, merchant accounts, and POS platforms
2. Inventory & Cost Accounting
- Manage inventory accounting, including inbound shipments, receiving, warehouse reconciliation, SKU costing, and monthly COGS reporting
- Work closely with supply chain/warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock levels and aging reports
- Establish cost accounting process for PPF, tint products, and accessories
3. Financial Systems & Process Building (0→1)
- Implement and improve accounting systems (QuickBooks, ERP add-ons, expense management tools, etc.)
- Standardize financial documentation, approval flows, and audit trails
4. Month-End & Year-End Close
- Prepare monthly financial statements: income statement, balance sheet, cash flow report
- Perform accruals, prepaids, fixed assets updates, depreciation, and reconciliations
- Support external CPA firm on year-end tax filings and 1099 preparation
5. Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations (CA tax, sales tax, payroll tax filings, etc.)
- File monthly/quarterly sales tax for multiple states
- Assist management with budget tracking, financial forecast, cost analysis, and profitability review
- Work closely with CEO, HR/Operations, Warehouse, and Sales teams
- Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies, cost control, and business decisions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–7 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Strong experience with QuickBooks
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and multi-state sales tax
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, vlookup, reconciliations)
- Ability to design and standardize accounting workflows independently
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle fast growth and complexity
Preferred
- Experience in a product-based business (manufacturing / wholesale / distribution)
- Experience setting up or migrating ERP/accounting systems
- Inventory accounting and cost accounting background
- Bilingual (English + Chinese) is a plus due to global vendor collaboration
