The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing the bi‑weekly payroll and ensuring the labor hours from data collection interface properly into the payroll software.
Responsibilities
Process electronic batches daily and enter manual timecards.
Calculate the bi‑weekly payroll and ensure its completion and accuracy.
Calculate travel pay for employees.
Prepare a variety of reports and provide payroll information as requested.
Reconcile all payroll liabilities and receivable accounts by compiling and generating reports.
Manage contract employee hours and invoices.
Oversee the year‑end process including W2s, system change‑over, and new benefits.
Assist with bank and check reconciliations.
Collaborate with others to proactively develop key competencies.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Accounting preferred.
2‑3 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of TCM (Workwise) and Ceridian software a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in Excel and Word.
Strong mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Ability to develop, write, and follow procedures.
