RESPONSIBILITIES
Kforce has a client seeking a remote Technical Business Analyst to join their team. This role is essential in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that data-driven initiatives are accurately scoped, documented, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and document detailed business and technical requirements; Translate business needs into clear, actionable specifications for data engineering teams
Workflow & Process Diagramming: Create and maintain process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and system interaction models; Visualize current and future state workflows to support solution design and gap analysis
Business Rules Documentation: Identify and document business rules governing data processing, transformation, and validation; Ensure rules are clearly communicated and traceable throughout the project lifecycle
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business and technical stakeholders, developers, and QA testers; Provide clarification and support throughout design, development, and testing phases
Quality Assurance and User Acceptance Testing Support: Assist in reviewing test cases and validating implementation against requirements; Participate in defect triage and resolution discussions
Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability matrices; Ensure documentation is version-controlled and accessible to relevant team
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in IT or data engineering projects
Strong understanding of data concepts including ETL, data warehousing, and data governance
Proficiency in diagramming tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, BPMN)
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience working in Agile, Waterfall or hybrid project environments is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce’s sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
