RESPONSIBILITIES
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Business Systems Analyst in Maryland Heights, MO.
Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Business Analyst to support key initiatives within the field operations organization, focused on back‑office applications and automation solutions. This role will partner closely with technical teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to define, design, and deliver solutions that streamline operations, automate manual processes, and improve overall efficiency. The ideal candidate will be curious, analytical, and confident in challenging assumptions to uncover the true business needs.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders across field operations, back‑office support, and development teams to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization
Conduct discovery and requirements analysis to develop clear, actionable Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and user stories
Evaluate technical feasibility and integration points, including APIs, data flows, and dependencies with existing applications
Translate business requirements into functional designs, acceptance criteria, and mockups
Partner with project managers to prioritize initiatives on the roadmap and ensure deliverables align with strategic objectives
Support automation initiatives leveraging AI, ML, and workflow automation tools to reduce manual workload and improve productivity
Work across multiple applications related to quota management, customer escalations, SMART tools, and vendor systems supporting field operations
Provide ongoing support and process improvement recommendations for applications that manage workforce, scheduling, and field technician operations
Utilize JIRA for requirements tracking, sprint planning, and progress monitoring
Embrace a flexible, delivery‑focused mindset‑balancing process rigor with practical execution to ensure timely results
REQUIREMENTS
6-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in a technology, operations, or enterprise systems environment
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to question, challenge, and validate business assumptions
Experience gathering and documenting requirements, developing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria
Working knowledge of application development concepts (UI, .NET, Java, SQL, APIs, etc.); Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams
Proficiency in JIRA and other Agile project management tools
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and leadership levels
Self‑starter with strong ownership mentality — able to work independently and drive outcomes
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities and ongoing innovation
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with automation and AI/ML tools such as CoreAI, LineGraph, or UiPath
Experience in Amazon Queue workflows or similar cloud‑based automation environments
Understanding of field operations systems, scheduling tools, or workforce management platforms
Technical aptitude and comfort with querying data or exploring technical solutions
Pay and Benefits The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
