Key Job Details – IR RN Travel Assignment

Location: Torrance, CA 90505 (Southern California healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)

Start Date: November 4, 2025

End Date: February 3, 2026

Shift: 5×8-hour day shifts (08:00–16:30); flexibility for 12:00–20:30 shifts

Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed)

On-Call: Weekend and as-needed call required (call shifts: 08:00–18:30, 18:30–07:00; weekends 07:00–07:00)

Weekend Requirement: 1 shift every 5 weeks

Setting: On-site, hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit

Estimated Weekly Salary: $2170 – $2320

Qualifications – Interventional Radiology RN

Active California RN license (required for California nursing jobs)

Minimum 3 years of RN experience (2 years may be considered)

At least 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS

Strong IV skills; experience starting and maintaining IVs

Proficient in contrast screening, managing allergic reactions, and extravasation

Ability to float within skill set as needed

Willing to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Two supervisory references required

Cerner charting experience preferred

Responsibilities – IR RN Travel Nurse

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures

Start IVs for CT and MRI with contrast; perform renal function and allergy screening

Monitor and manage procedural sedation, including end-tidal CO2 monitoring and reversal agents

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias during IR procedures

Respond to and manage allergic reactions and extravasation events

Assist with thoracentesis and other interventional radiology procedures

Float to other hospital units within scope of practice

Participate in on-call rotation and provide weekend coverage

Document patient care using Cerner (preferred) or other hospital charting systems

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
