Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel RN)
Location: Detroit, Michigan 48201
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing
Unit: Labor & Delivery (16 beds/rooms)
Start Date: September 22, 2025
End Date: December 21, 2025
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM
7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirement: Float as needed within skillset (including High Risk/Antepartum)
Charting System: Cerner
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1860 – $2000
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan or compact state
At least 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Ability to float to High Risk/Antepartum units as needed
Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Experience with Cerner electronic charting preferred
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit
Monitor and assess mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including inductions, cerclage, and cesarean sections
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner
Float to support High Risk/Antepartum areas as required
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment
