Security Shift Supervisor – Full Time / Rotating Shift

Work location: Texas Health HEB: 1600 Hospital Parkway, Bedford, TX 76022
Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Rotating Shift; primarily assigned to third shift – 10:30 P – 7 A. During training, schedule will rotate to support cross‑training and collaboration with other shift supervisors.

Here’s What You Need
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
2 years security, law enforcement, or military police required; Level III security license (or higher) with hospital, law enforcement, or military security experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3) – 14 days required.
ACPI – Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (maintained annually) – 30 days required.
CSO – Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification – 120 days required.
DL – Driver’s License Class C and must be insurable – 120 days required.
TASER Certification – Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification – 120 days required.
What You Will Do
Oversee operations on assigned shifts.
Lead security briefings for officers and distribute equipment.
Respond to calls for service and disturbances.
Review shift paperwork and reports.
Participate in the Texas Health Threat Assessment Team for assigned area and monitor for correct utilization.
Perform officer duties as needed:
Patrol buildings and grounds for unlocked secured areas after hours.
Lock and open doors according to schedules.
Provide individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.
Identify and remove unauthorized individuals from property.
Enforce campus parking policies/cite violations.
Provide training for officers:
Orient new employees.
Attend assigned meetings and share information.
Provide manager with input for:
Employee selection
Progressive discipline
Employee evaluations
