Position Summary:
Parker is seeking a
Senior Machinist
with strong
CNC Lathe setup and operating experience
to support precision manufacturing operations on 2nd shift. This role requires the ability to work independently on semi‑complex machining jobs, interpret detailed blueprints, and maintain high quality and safety standards in a lean manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of CNC machining experience
Proven CNC Lathe setup and operation experience (must‑have)
Strong blueprint reading and machine shop math skills
Experience inspecting parts to tight tolerances
Ability to work independently on 2nd shift
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and adjust CNC Lathe machines for precision production runs
Install and adjust cutting tools; modify feeds, speeds, and depth of cut as required
Read and interpret blueprints, route sheets, and engineering documentation
Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and comparators
Perform deburring, rework, drilling, reaming, and forming operations to close tolerances
Conduct SPC checks and maintain accurate production documentation
Perform routine equipment maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work area
Actively support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement
Collaborate with team members while working with limited supervision
