Location: MGA – Macon, Georgia.

Job Summary Middle Georgia State University seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Biology for the School of Health and Natural Sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences. The position is expected to begin fall 2026. This role involves teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening courses, lower‑level and/or upper‑level biology courses, and online or hybrid formats. Travel from the Macon campus to other campuses (e.g., Warner Robins) will be required.
Responsibilities Teaching undergraduate courses and conducting scholarship activities. All faculty are expected to assist in student recruitment, curriculum development, mentoring, and service on departmental and university committees. Travel among campuses will be required as needed.
Required Qualifications PhD in Biology or a related field. Special attention is given to candidates with expertise in microbiology or organismal biology. Prior successful teaching experience and experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research are preferred.
