Department Information The Department of Natural Sciences serves science majors and non‑majors taking core science courses. The department offers the Bachelor of Science in Biology, preparing students for the modern workplace, graduate school, or pre‑professional programs such as medical, dental, veterinary, and pharmacy schools.
Job Summary MGA seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Biology for the School of Health and Natural Sciences. The position involves teaching, scholarship, and service, including day and/or evening, lower‑ and upper‑level biology courses. Travel between Cochran and the satellite campus (Dublin) may be required.
Responsibilities
Teach an undergraduate course load equivalent to 4/4.
Engage in scholarship activities.
Assist in student recruitment, curriculum development, mentoring, and committee service.
Travel among campuses as needed.
Deliver classes in day, evening, online, or hybrid formats.
Required Educational Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biology or a related field; preference for microbiology expertise.
Preferred Experience
Prior successful teaching experience.
Experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research.
