Central Valley Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Unit: Labor & Delivery (Critical Need) Start Date: November 4, 2025 End Date: January 31, 2026 Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 12-hour day shifts (07:00 AM
07:30 PM) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time Labor & Delivery RN experience Graduate of an accredited nursing program Active California Registered Nurse License required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification ACLS certification Preferred: Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) or related field Preferred: 5 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience (within the last 2 years) Preferred: 1 year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last 2 years Preferred: High Risk OB experience
Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Monitor and support mothers throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and clinical procedures Administer prescribed medications and treatments Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide advanced neonatal resuscitation as needed Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum, and newborn care Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic health record Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
