ICU Registered Nurse Job Details
Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Travel Assignment
Location: Madison, WI 53715 (Wisconsin nursing jobs)
Healthcare Setting: Resource Pool / Float (ICU, PCU, occasional Med Surg)
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Start Date: November 3, 2025
End Date: February 2, 2026
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM
7:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Nurse to Patient Ratio: ICU 2:1, PCU 3:1
Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 – $2020
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU or PCU RN experience
At least 1 completed travel nursing contract
Active Wisconsin RN license (or compact state license)
Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
Ability to float between ICU, PCU, and Med Surg units
Current skills checklist (completed within 1 year)
1 supervisory reference required
ICU RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality patient care in ICU, PCU, and Med Surg settings
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Float between units to support staffing and patient needs
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
Comply with hospital policies and procedures
Participate in required holiday coverage (2 of 3 winter holidays)
