Job Summary We are seeking a

Vascular Ultrasound Technologist

(sometimes referred to as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Ultrasound Technologist RVT, or Vascular Technologist). The role specializes in performing and interpreting vascular ultrasounds to diagnose and monitor conditions related to the blood vessels and circulatory system. You will provide a crucial bridge between technology and patient care, helping detect life‑threatening vascular conditions and improving overall treatment outcomes.

Required Certification To perform duties in this position you must be RVT certified through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Responsibilities

Use specialized vascular ultrasound equipment to evaluate blood flow, veins, and arteries

Conduct procedures including abdominal vascular studies, lower extremity (L.E.) and upper extremity (U.E.) evaluations, venous Doppler exams, doppler ultrasounds, carotid assessments, and imaging for renal, pancreas, and liver transplants, as well as the Nielsen Cold Challenge and other specialized studies

Perform other exams such as venous reflux studies, arterial duplex scanning, carotid duplex scanning, and transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound

Provide rapid imaging for acute conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or suspected arterial blockages

Assess for conditions such as blood clots, blockages, aneurysms, or arterial diseases

Work closely with vascular surgeons, cardiologists, and other specialists to provide diagnostic insights

Process and transmit images to PACS

Qualifications

ARDMS certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain

Graduate an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified in #1 and graduation within 90 days of hire

Current BLS (AHA) certificate

Proficient computer skills

Current experience (plus)
