Role Description This Field Supervisor position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating outside plant (OSP) installations, including managing in-house crews and subcontractors for various construction tasks like trenching, boring, cable pulling, lashing, splicing, and testing. The role involves extensive coordination with clients on schedules, invoicing, and as-builts, as well as interfacing with developers, city inspectors, property owners, and the general public. Key responsibilities also include pre-walking jobs for funding and job code validation, identifying and resolving construction issues, and maintaining quality compliance.
What You’ll do as a Field Supervisor
Directly responsible for coordinating and supervising outside installations
Supervise in-house construction crews and subcontractors to perform underground trenching, directional boring, fiber optic and coax cable pulling, aerial fiber and coax lashing, splicing and testing.
Coordinate with client on schedules, invoicing, as-builts, and interface with others within the organization to complete required tasks including billing, as-built maps and project management software.
Coordinate with developers, city inspectors, property owners and the general public
Embrace company's safety program
Pre walking jobs to validate Funding and Job code usage.
Identify any construction issues not accounted for and present an action plan to resolve.
Maintain quality compliance throughout the build process.
What You’ll Need to be a Supervisor
Organized, detailed, self starter committed to supervising OSP installations, and thrives in time critical environments
High School or GED diploma
5 years of relevant construction supervision and coordination experience in the CATV industry
Must have good communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and supervise construction personnel.
Proficient with email and computer use
Bilingual candidates will be strongly considered
