Primary Position Objectives:

Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the property/inventory control functions. Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to preparing young people for the workforce by modeling, mentoring, and monitoring excellence.

Position Responsibilities

Assist with shipping and receiving activities

Assist with the purchasing process

Assist with the shipping/receiving inventory records and documents in accordance with Center and DOL Regulations

Assist with the use of consumable items

Assist with maintenance of perpetual inventory

Assist with the arrangement for disposition of excess materials in accordance with procedures as stated in the Property Handbook

Oversee the student clothing inventory and distribution and ensure proper documentation

Assist with maintenance of accurate records on the physical location of all center property

Assist with the procurement logs and ensure that there is timely delivery from receipt to closure

Attend required staff training sessions

Clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate CSS and employability skills including personal responsibility and computer fluency

Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and comply with safety practices

Demonstrate and abide by LifeSkills Connection’s core values and operating principles

Comply with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Job Corps notices and bulletins, LifeSkills Connection’s policies and procedures, and Center policies and procedures

Participate in PRH mandated staff training; failure to participate may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination

Other duties as assigned

Position Competencies Effective Communication

Present information both clearly and concisely and regularly confirm correct interpretation of information

Very high standard of communication skills both written and oral for the presentation of facts and ideas

Written communication must be clear, concise, easy to read and comprehend

Organization of Work

Demonstrate the ability to handle several projects simultaneously

Implement the key principles of time management, task allocation and priority assignment in addition to personal organization; continually seek ways to improve the service provided via development of professional skills and personal growth

Initiate and respond to suggestions for improving service

Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point and Excel

Experience

Experience in Purchasing or Inventory - Preferred

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Valid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record; role involves frequent driving
