Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) – Needed in Union County Position at Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare.

Base pay range: $45.00/hr – $75.00/hr.

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for part‑time licensed therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide in‑home and center‑based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

Provide individual in‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions.

Perform bio‑psycho‑social assessments (or be willing to complete training).

Provide coping and social skills training, anger management, and reduce risk behaviors such as self‑injurious behavior or physical aggression.

Improve youth and caretaker decision‑making skills to manage in‑home behavioral challenges.

Collaborate consistently with the Child‑Family Treatment Team and other disciplines supporting the youth and family.

Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.).

Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory clinical documentation.

Requirements

Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (LSW, LAC, LFT).

Clinical mental‑health trauma counseling training.

Some training or willingness to complete crisis intervention training.

Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders.

Experience creating treatment planning, goals, progress notes, and initial assessments.

Knowledge of CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma response approaches.

Ability to use DSM‑V for assessments and diagnosis.

Availability for a minimum of 6‑10 hours per week after school (12 noon – 8 pm); weekend flexibility is a plus.

Experience providing positive behavior supports.

Experience working with children ages 3‑20; additional experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle.

Pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.

Submit resume plus copies of master’s degree and New Jersey license or certification.

Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H‑1B sponsorship).

Note State reciprocity is considered; the candidate must commute no more than 25‑30 minutes to the designated service areas. The license must be registered with the New Jersey Marriage & Family Therapy Board (and applicable PA, NY, NJ).
