Position Summary This position assists in the creation of innovative solutions and acts as a liaison for faculty and staff to incorporate simulation into the curriculum and training for students and healthcare professionals. The role provides operational support for facilities, activities, and resources for clinical and human simulation sessions, including technical and hands‑on support, scheduling, and reporting. Additional responsibilities include participating in research activities related to educational and clinical outcomes and supporting faculty and staff in linking simulation data to presentations and publications.

Responsibilities

Provide operational support of simulation facilities and resources.

Supply technical and hands‑on support for simulation session preparation, delivery, and post‑event scheduling and reporting.

Collaborate with faculty and staff on research activities focusing on educational and clinical outcomes.

Assist in linking simulation data to faculty and staff presentations and publications.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in health sciences or related field (e.g., Nursing, EMS).

Required Experience: Minimum two (2) years of customer‑service support experience; six years of related education or experience considered.

Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Core Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Superior organizational, planning, communication, and customer‑service skills; critical‑thinking and problem‑solving; ability to maintain high service level under pressure; strong interpersonal skills with physicians, nurses, faculty, and researchers; teamwork and independence; decision‑making under tight timelines; commitment to professional, collaborative, diverse environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Health sciences or education‑related degree; six years of related education or experience considered.

Experience: Background in simulation or training environments; support role in simulation lab or comparable training facility; experience designing, developing, and supporting training activities in health science or higher education; management and programming of simulation models.

Computer Applications: Simulation software (e.g., CAE, Gaumard, Laerdal) and scheduling/asset management tools.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Instructional design principles, learning theory, online learning strategies, technology integration; proven experience using instructional design in faculty interactions.
