Department Manager at H&M. You lead and support your team, foster an inclusive culture, and ensure an excellent operational and visual experience for the store, customers and colleagues. You analyze sales, identify opportunities, and create plans to optimize results and profits. Responsibilities
You are responsible for the total OMNI customer experience in your store, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines Representing yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions Be aware of and take responsibility for your department\'s strengths and identifying commercial opportunities and acting on them Establish and analyze sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results Ensure customer service is provided in all areas of the store and that your team can actively promote and sell products Promote the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives Manage your department in a cost-efficient way Ensure correct routines in fitting rooms and checkout, including transactions, returns and exchanges Ensure all admin routines for both people and operations are handled correctly Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor and back-of-house areas including stockroom Ensure high fashion quality, visual and commercial product presentation with good garment care Keep stock levels adequate and provide input on allocation Oversee garment cycle from delivery to presentation and fitting room routines according to internal standards Maintain in-store OMNI services and in-store tech services/tools Ensure price signs and BOH information are up-to-date and compliant with guidelines Open and close the store daily Fashion & Trend Awareness
Stay up-to-date with fashion trends, styles, brands, products, competitors and relevant influencers Provide product and fashion knowledge to customers during interactions Team & Development
Recruitment, onboarding, performance management, upskilling and development of the in-store team Performance evaluations and succession planning Share knowledge and collaborate with the Visual Merchandiser team Provide and receive feedback to support development Plan and manage team scheduling Regular communication with store colleagues to inform, motivate and inspire Ensure procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed Participate in onboarding and development trainings Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution
Maintain clean sales floor and back-of-house areas Ensure high-quality presentation and garment care Monitor stock levels and assist with allocation Oversee full garment cycle and fitting room routines per standards Maintain in-store omni services and tech tools Maintain price signs according to global/local guidelines Update BOH areas with key information and safety details Open & close the store daily Qualifications
