What to Expect as a Medical Receptionist with OrthoArizona
Pay: Starting from $17 per hour
Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Responsibilities
Answer phone in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner; screen and route calls as needed; create phone note in the patient electronic medical record and/or provide information to patients.
Be the 1st point of contact for our patients: greet, check in, check out and provide excellent patient service.
Manage schedule, assist with insurance verification and other physical therapy insurance requirements.
Support physical therapy staff by keeping the front desk organized and running smoothly.
Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart.
Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and/or uploading to the correct patient chart.
Assist with other duties as needed during down time.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent customer/patient service
Knowledge of medical terminology
Working knowledge of computer programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understand/Perform training on practice management software
Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
High School diploma or GED
Preferred Experience
At least one year of medical office experience
Bilingual a plus
Basic phone handling skills – Contact Center experience
Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
